We believe reading is the single most important factor in determining a student’s language capacity as it is a significant factor in improving oral and written communication skills. To this end, independent reading is encouraged at all grade levels. This academic year, the English Department is continuing its improvement of reading strategies, and fostering a “love of reading” through its independent reading program.
