You’ve been assigned a country and a committee, so now what? This workshop will focus on places to gather information beyond Google, ways to use Google more effectively, and techniques for researching and note-taking that will keep you out of plagiarism trouble.
The purpose of this guide is to give you access to free resources that will help with your MUN research. Please also look for appropriate databases through your school library, local university libraries, and your national library.
Model United Nations Research
For Model UN projects, there are three basic things you will need to research:
- Country information: background information and country policy statements/positions
- Information on issues to be debated
- The UN system

Many thanks to librarian extraordinaire Kathy Patterson, who gathered many resources and created the guide that this was modeled on.
