CHAPTERS READ BY SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE MIDDLE SCHOOL FACULTY!
Twelve-year-old New York City twins Meg and Edward have nothing in common, so they are just as shocked as everyone else when Meg's hopes for popularity and Edward's mischievous schemes coincidentally collide in a hilarious showdown.
From September 23-October 10, our Middle School will be on a unified journey to promote literacy and to foster a sense of community by bringing people together through literature! Thanks to a generous gift from our PTA, every child and teacher in our school received a copy of the same book at the same time. This year's title is Never Mind! A Twin Novel by award winning authors Avi and Rachel Vail. Students may read it at school, and they are encouraged to do so at home as well. Here is a calendar of events, including a Parent Mini OBOC Book Club on Oct. 7 and suggested pacing of chapters to finish the book in time for the finale on Oct. 10. Please encourage your child to participate!
Join us for our OBOC CELEBRATION!
Wednesday, October 10 @ 4-5pm
Gr. 7 Commons
Everyone is welcome: Parents, Students and Teachers!
A good discussion for home might be: Meg is concerned about how Edward will affect her reputation to the point of lying about him to her friends. Does she have a reason for concern? What impact does Edward have on Meg’s reputation? Is it possible for siblings to have both a positive and negative affect? How?
